This was a collaboration with Judi Curtin, author of lots of children’s books (and much more famous than me, bah). We’ve known each other since I taught two of Judi’s children, and we decided we’d like to try a book together. It was a great experience, and we haven’t ruled out doing it all again, whenever we can find the time.

In brief: When Luke has to write to a penpal he doesn’t want, he’s determined to have as little to do with her as possible – and Elma feels exactly the same about him. But as the letters pass between them, something begins to happen…
