Two Fridays in April

(Hachette Books Ireland, 2014, also published by Hachette Books Australia)

In this book I wanted to explore the theme of grief, and how to move on from a bereavement, and find joy in life again. I also gave myself the challenge of setting the story over just two days, which was interesting!

In brief: It’s Friday April 2, a year to the day since Finn Darling died, and his loss is still keenly felt by three women – his widow Daphne, his daughter Una and his mother Mo. The story takes us through each woman’s day in turn, and also involves Daphne’s estranged mother Isobel, who is struggling with her own demons . . .
